How To Use Sprint Setting
What is Sprint?
Sprint is a very short but ample amount of time within which the team completes a planned amount of work and makes ready for review. The term “Sprint” is mainly used in Agile Scrum methodology.
Agile teams usually define a short duration of a Sprint for 2 - 4 weeks. Teams set their target with Product Owner / Scrum Master as “Sprint Goal” and plan their work in “Sprint backlog”. As soon as the Sprint starts after planning session, team members work together to complete planned work effectively and make it ready for “QA / Testing” by the end of that period.
To help the Agile teams, Agilibo has implemented an effective module named “Sprint Settings”, where the teams can set up new sprints anytime, anywhere.
How should Sprint Settings be used?
Setting up new sprint is very easy. Follow the steps below:
Step 01: Go to www.agilibo.com and log in to your account.
Step 02: Open “Scrum”.
Step 03: Click on “Sprint Settings”.
Step 04: Click on “Sprint” according to your team, work type, department and methodology.
Step 05: Fill up the “Sprint Name/Number” box. It can be anything. Just give your Sprint a relatable name
Step 06: Select “Sprint Duration”, which is up to 4 weeks.
Step 07: Fill up “Sprint Goal” box by giving a small but understandable description.
Step 08: Select “Starting From” box as per your team’s availability.
The end date will automatically appear as soon as you fill up “starting date”.
Step 09: Fill up “Release Plan” box.
This is optional, you can leave it if you want. But release plan is necessary as it helps teams to stay focused.
Step 10: Fill up “Story Points Committed” box.
This function is optional as well. To fill up committed story points, you need to know a consensus of story points regarding the sprint task. You can calculate the committed story points with your teammates by playing “Scrum Poker/Planning Poker” in Agilibo.
Step 11: Fill up “Story Points Completed” box.
You don’t know how many story points can you complete before the end of the sprint, do you? Archibo implemented this box in Sprint Settings so that the team can fill it up after the Sprint is over. So, no need to worry about it.
Step 12: Click on “Save”
Your sprint has been set! You can watch previous Sprints of your team right below it. You can view, edit or remove them.
So, these were the procedures of setting up a sprint in Agilibo. Hope you won’t be facing similar problems in the future!
